Lilya Kalashyan was born in the city of Yerevan. At an early age, she demonstrated
an interest and talent in art. Lilya attended the Armenian University of
Art & Theatre (schooled in former USSR) where she majored in graphic
design and graduated with honors (her specialty was Armenian Souvenirs)
Lilya has had much success in exhibiting and selling her paintings all
over the world and has also been published in many Soviet Art magazines.
Lila's work is in collections in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Yerevan, Kiev,
Italy, Germany, Great Britain, Brazil, Cuba and the United States of America.
In 1999, Lilya received the honor of membership into the Republic Armenian
painter's society.
